HERB GARDEN is the third jigsaw puzzle motif I created for puzzle company WillaWunst, continuing the overarching theme of nature and plants. Following earlier motifs featuring regional and seasonal fruits & legumes, and a calendar of blooming flowers, this piece focuses on a curated herb garden.
It showcases a selection of foragable herbs commonly found in Germany, the target market. As large monochrome areas can make puzzling more challenging, we introduced a terrazzo pattern in the background. This not only enhances the overall puzzle experience but also lends the design a more contemporary aesthetic, setting it apart from traditional herb illustrations.
